Types of marks
In the eduSky system you can specify the types of grades and enter weights for individual grades.
When assessing, we intuitively know that "rating is not equal". We assign a greater importance to the grade from the semester test than to the grade from the card about the last topic of the lesson. The average of several grades, in which not every size is equally important, is called weighted average.
If you want to add a rating type / weight, in the Class Register section, select → Marks→Types of marks → Add a mark type
We will get a view like on the screen below:
Proceed to specifying the data during the operation of adding a rating type:
- Name - Specify the type of educational activity the assessment applies to (e.g. oral answer, checkup, homework) (green box)
- Weight - In this form enter the weight assigned to the specific grade (red frame)
E.g. Assessment of answers - the weight of the rating 3,
Semester test grade - grade weight 5
- Notes - field intended for a note.
- Color - Thanks to the color setting option, system users can have a clear view of the hierarchy of grades and the calculation of the average Eg. Rating from answers - weight of mark 3 (green); Semester test grade - grade 5 (blue)
After completing the fields as described, confirm the operation with the buton
