How do I cancel a class and send a message to students?

Sometimes, classes will not take place. The following materials describe how to cancel classes in the system and inform students about this fact.

To cancel a class in the Secretariat, select → Upcoming class

 

  • Select a class from the list or search by entering the group name
  • In Options, select the option Cancel .You will be redirected to the form in which you specify message parameters:
  • Post date. You can schedule a message to be sent to a specific time or leave this field blank - the message will be sent from the system in a period of up to 5 minutes (see Unsent messages)
  • Message type. Select email / sms or both. After selecting them, forms will appear for entering the content you want to send.
  • Type of recipient. Identify the recipients: students, mentors, teacher, or complete all roles
  • Select a sender. Select the sender of the e-mail / SMS
  • Enter the title and content of the message

Warning! Remember not to paste content formatted in another text editor. (see Why does the system inform me about foreign formatting?)
