Class settings for the group

One of the key functionalities of the group in the eduSky system is the ability to form, organize and plan class schedules.

After determining all the key elements of the group (the room in which the group is working, the course implemented within it, the list of students, etc.), the next step is to determine the schedule of its classes. To do this, click anywhere in the table "Hours and parameters of classes", which will open the panel necessary to specify the class in the group.

The basic information about the schedule of classes is the day of the week and the hours of classes, while more specific and precise information can be specified by clicking the "Additional class settings" button.

While the group may be assigned a place where classes take place, sometimes there is a need for one weekly class to take place elsewhere. Similarly, when specifying a different subject.

Example 1.

The ABC group for the youngest usually carries out classes on Tuesdays at 15:10 to 15:50 in room 3, and so it was specified in the basic information about the group. From the second semester, the group will carry out a series of additional classes on Thursday at 9:20 to 10:00 in room A1. Therefore, these parameters should be specified in the additional settings of the classes, thanks to which they will apply only to the one classes - Tuesday classes will be unchanged.

An important element that allows you to change the already active group schedule is to set a time frame for the given "block" of classes, so you can specify in which time frame the given classes took place with the given teacher, and how they take place from the date given in the new class block. This is illustrated by the example below:

Example 2.

In the Expert English group, the lecturer in the first semester is Mrs. Alicja Mrozowska. In the second semester, however, due to the progress of the group and classes with a native speaker, Mr. Jason Wright will be leading the class. The program will not allow exchange within a given block of classes as to the teacher, because classes were implemented and supplemented by Mrs. Alice. It is possible, however, to specify which day of the given month Mrs. Alicja runs, while for Jason a new group block should be created. (note - you can, but you do not have to provide the end of classes in the case of an ongoing block of classes in a group - the plan will be generated based on the time frame of the whole group, the number of classes or the time pool intended for the group)

There are situations when two teachers conduct classes in one group of students, but the classes are always held on the same day, and the teachers conduct classes alternately with each other. Using the example:

Classes of the PROG Basic group always take place on Tuesdays at 15:00 to 16.00. Once they are run by Mr. Jakub, who conducts classes in even calendar weeks, and once Mr. Zbigniew - in even-numbered calendar weeks.

In this case, Mr. Zbigniew Zatorski will conduct classes in such a group in all even weeks of the year, and after a similar setting for Mr. Jakub Jędrzejewski - he will conduct classes in even weeks. As you can see in the screenshot below, the generated plan includes this setting:

The entire group schedule is displayed in the group view just below the list of students and the table regarding group activities.
