Rates for teachers

In the eduSky system, it is possible to settle teachers based on the classes they completed. However, for the mechanisms that correctly calculate teachers' earnings to work, a monetary rate must be set for the teacher conducting these classes.

Teacher's rate for classes

The eduSky system uses several variants of settlements with teachers. The first of these is the method of billing the teacher based on the classes he has completed. To determine the amount of the rate for classes, go to the teacher rate section through the Secretariat → Configuration → Teachers' Rates and then 'Add Teacher's Rate'.

There are several key elements in the above screenshot, such as:

- rate type - a place where we determine what type of billing the rate applies

- value - amount in PLN, entered without currency, only as a numerical value

- variants of price rates - modifications depending on the number of students or the duration of classes

In our example, we will define the title of the rate as "basic rate (up to 45 minutes)" because the intention is to specify the minimum payment for classes for a teacher using this rate.

Optionally, we can specify modifications for a given rate for classes by adding variants depending on the number of students and the duration of the class. After selecting the option to add a rate variant, the fields necessary for the correct construction of the variant will be shown, e.g.

- time range - specify the range of minutes that classes must last for a given option to be used in the calculations. In the screenshot below, these ranges are from 46 to 60 minutes and from 61 to 75 minutes.

- range of the number of students - similarly - the set, the number of students enrolled in the group (NOTE! The scope applies to people enrolled in the group, it is not related to their presence in class)

- amount - the value of the rate in PLN, which will apply when meeting both conditions (time and number of students)

Example 1.

Classes usually last 45 minutes, but students have decided on longer classes for which they will settle accounts separately with the school. The teacher carries out classes in the period of almost 60 minutes, exactly 55 minutes. The group consists of 7 people. The rate for these classes, as will be taken into account in the settlement with the teacher, is 56 PLN, because the classes lasted 55 minutes, which is met by the first condition for this variant and 7 people in the group, and therefore meets the condition of 7 to 8 people. So what rate should be taken into account during regular 45-minute classes with 7 trainees? The answer is - a basic rate of PLN 45 (specified in the 'value' field), because the classes last 45 minutes, so they do not meet the conditions of any of the given variants of this rate, despite the fact that there are 7 students in the group of students.

Example 2.

Classes last 50 minutes, 10 students attend the group. The bid variant taken into account in this case does not exist because the bid variations do not cover this situation. So that the teacher does not earn the lowest rate (intuitively, he should earn adequately to the number of students and class time), the correct value should be determined for such a variant as, for example, below:

In this case, the teacher will earn 63 zlotys for such classes.

The variants of rates are an optional form of settlements with teachers, however, due to their specificity, they require reflection and defining all possible configurations of the duration of classes and the number of students in the group in relation to the value of the teacher's class.

Teacher's rate for class time

Another model of settlements with the teacher is the method of settlement using the rate for class time. When creating this rate, specify the class time (basic) that will apply to this rate and the base value.

The key setting should be remembered, i.e. the type of rate as "Teacher's rate for class time" (green box on screen 4), next fields are the value (red box) and class time (blue box).

The applied rate will be added to the settlement with the teacher, and the system will always check the duration of classes and deduct or add value to the rate proportional to the duration of classes, as illustrated by the examples below.

Example 3.

The rate for 60-minute classes is 45 PLN. Classes, however, lasted 40 minutes. The teacher's stake will therefore be proportionally 2/3 of the base rate, i.e. PLN 30.

 Example 4

The rate for 60-minute classes is 45 PLN. Classes lasted 90 minutes. The teacher's rate for these classes will be PLN 67.50, because the duration of the class is 150% of the normal class time, and also proportionally 150% of the base rate.

Teacher's rate based on the cost of classes

It is possible to calculate for the teacher the percentage rate depending on the institution's income for the classes. In this case, in the classes leading him or in a group

Teacher's rate based on the cost of classes

It is possible to calculate for the teacher the percentage rate depending on the institution's income for the classes. In this case, in the classes that lead him or in the group that the teacher leads, choose the model of settlement "based on the cost of classes". In these cases, three conditions are required:

  1. The teacher must have a rate assigned
  2. Classes must be marked as completed
  3. Students must have signed contracts

After fulfilling these three conditions, the percentage of school income, which is the payment to the teacher for the given classes, will be calculated. The example below illustrates this:

 Example 5

A teacher with a settlement model based on the cost of classes with a 30% rate for classes leads a group of four. Three students pay monthly installments of PLN 200, and one of them installments of PLN 160.

Total school income is PLN 760 per month, with four classes per month.

The cost of classes is PLN 190 (PLN 760/4 classes). The teacher will earn 30% of the amount for classes, i.e. PLN 57 (30% of PLN 190) for each class.
